The critical process in each system is a patented multi-blade, multi-chambered pulverizing mill. The concept was first introduced in the 1800’s for producing Flour from wheat grain. Modifications to improve the concept and its capability to process wet sticky biosolid (cake) was designed by the same people responsible for developing the coal slag and wood waste versions in the 1960’s, once again proving versatility and durability of the design.
A requirement unique to drying biowaste and manure is sterilization and the destruction of pathogen and toxin contaminants. The capability of the mobile dryer to travel to a source and convert manure to powder before the critical gestation period for biological activity is able to start and become the root cause for all associated environmental concerns, is a capability not duplicated by other technology.
The ‘Proof of Concept’ audit (performed by SKM Engineering) verified that the system can reduce wet bio-waste carrying 80% water to powder with residual moisture of 4%. It also verified that dry biofuel produced by the process and used as the primary fuel does produce a flame at the temperature required to produce sterile by-product.

Manure solid is a rich source of fertilizer nutrient and contains high levels of usable energy but only when it is dry. While the subject matter of the sourced quotes differ (Fertilizer and Feed Stock Nutrient), they confirm a readymade market for a reliable source of Crop & Feedstock Nutrient production and therefore a need for an open minded attitude toward more efficient recovery systems. One that can be readily transported to a farm to recover the abundance of nutrient from digestive waste that present a unique set of handling challenges caused by excessive amounts of water. Animal manure, specifically Poultry and Swine offer concentrated sources of nutrient - but only when dry.
Until recently manure management had evolved from ‘convenient and preferred’ methods of handling by individual farm managers. The introduction of CAFO’s produced a concentration of manure in large volume which does not just disappear.
